Θερινό σχολείο με θέμα “ReThinking Europe. Pan-European Challenges in Ukrainian Perspectives”, που θα διεξαχθεί από 22 Αυγούστου έως 4 Σεπτεμβρίου 2016 στη Φρανκφούρτη επί του ποταμού Όντερ.
Η πρόσκληση απευθύνεται σε φοιτητές/-τριες και Υ.Δ. από κάθε επιστημονικό πεδίο. Η παρακολούθηση του θερινού σχολείου είναι δωρεάν. Οι συμμετέχοντες/-ουσες επιβαρύνονται μόνο με τα έξοδα α) διαμονής, η οποία διασφαλίζεται σε εστίες στην πόλη Słubice (γειτονική πόλη στην Πολωνία) και το κόστος υπολογίζεται στα 45 € συνολικά, β) ταξιδίου, για τα οποία προσφέρονται 15 υποτροφίες ύψους 150-600 €, ανάλογα με τη χώρα προέλευσης, από το Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) και γ) διατροφής.
Στο πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνονται μαθήματα ουκρανικής γλώσσας και εκπαιδευτική εκδρομή στο Poznań (Πολωνία).

ReThinking Europe. Pan-European Challenges in Ukrainian Perspectives

Viadrinicum is an international Ukrainian Summer School that provides students and young scholars with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about Ukraine, its language, history, politics and culture. Based on an interdisciplinary and transregional approach of cultural, social and economic sciences, Viadrinicum combines diverse perspectives, the focus of which is on the current situation in Ukraine as well as its historical development. Students and young scholars from all disciplines are invited to apply.
During the two weeks, non-Ukrainian participants will have the opportunity to improve their Ukrainian skills in language classes on various levels while Ukrainian participants will have a German language class.
Seminar topics will revolve around the perception of Europe in Ukraine and Ukraine’s position towards certain pan-European challenges of today. Therefore, we are pleased to welcome the following scholars:

Closely linked to the seminars is a workshop on conflict management by Prof. Kirchhoff from the Europa-Universität Viadrina’s IKM (Institut für Konfliktmanagement). Furthermore, there will be literature evenings, public discussions, and an Open Space where participants will have the chance to discuss their own scientific or cultural projects with other participants and scholars. Two workshops on ’Thinking Transnationally’, which are conducted by experienced multipliers, will give participants the opportunity to learn more about multilateral project management. Moreover, in this context, there will also be an excursion to Poznań, where participants will meet with civil society actors who will give insights in transnational project management and discuss best practices.
Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) funds approximately 15 travel scholarships for students and PhD candidates (€ 150-600, depending on your country of origin).
You can apply for a scholarship if you meet the following requirements:
· You are a student or a PhD candidate.
· You have a genuine interest in questions concerning Ukraine.
· Your knowledge of English is sufficient to take part in the discussions actively.
