Department of Basic Dental Sciences

The  Basic Dental Sciences Department was established in 2006 and it is located at the Mandalidion Center for Dental Research which is situated adjacent to the main building of the School of Dentistry. Main objective To offer theoretical and practical courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Department of Endodontology

Department of Endodontology, Dental School, AUTH The Endodontology Department was established in 1959 as Dental Pathology and Therapeutics Department. It was renamed as Department of Endodontology in 1997. Teaching: Biology of Dental Tissues, Preclinical and Clinical Endodontics, Microbiology of Dental and Periapical Tissues, Dental Trauma.

Department of Preventive Dentistry, Periodontology and Implant Biology

The Department of Preventive dentistry, Periodontology and Implant Biology, is part of the  Section of Orthodontics and Periodontology. Main focus of the Department is the training of undergraduate students in Preventive dentistry, Periodontology and Implant Biology and provides fundamental knowledge of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases ,prevention of caries and of periodontal and peri-implant tissues.

Department of Pediatric Dentistry

The Department of Pediatric Dentistry runs an undergraduate and a postgraduate education program. In the undergraduate program of Pediatric Dentistry, students acquire knowledge regarding the examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, applying individualized prevention programs, and executing restorative dental treatment by 4-hand quadrant dentistry in children and adolescents.
