The library’s purpose is to serve the community of the Departments of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy, faculty and teaching staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, and external users and researchers.
The Library focuses on:
- supporting the School’s undergraduate curriculum and contributing to the development of highly qualified doctors following international standards
- supporting the postgraduate curriculum and research activities of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
- providing effective access to information sources inside and outside its physical space.
- providing quality information services
- providing training sessions regarding the use of the Library and its search tools.

History
The Library of the School of Health Sciences has a central area of 500 sq.m. in Veterinary Medicine and two reading rooms, one in Veterinary Medicine and one in Dentistry. The library was inaugurated in June 2024 and became operational in February 2024.
The central library is housed within the Veterinary Medicine building on the campus, which was equipped, among other things, with rolling on rails and fixed libraries with a capacity of approximately 60,000 volumes. Also in the basement of the dentistry is a book depository of about 30,000 volumes, including the unused editions of the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, in a space that is on sliding rails and is located on the ground. In addition, there are two reading rooms, one in veterinary medicine with 110 seats and another one in dentistry with approximately 40 seats.
