and 2)
 This research collaboration continued with subsequent scientific residencies as a Research Fellow
at the MHH (2009-2011) in the context of a Research Grant (BMBF-BIOTECmarin project) funded
by BMBF (Bundes Ministerium für Bildung und Forschung-German Ministry of Education and
Science) in cooperation with the ERC Advanced Investigator Grant Research Group at Institut of
Physiological Chemistry, University Medical Center of the Johaness Gutenberg University of Mainz,
Germany (Research Protocol 3)
 A new research protocol was conducted over the period 7/2012-10/2012, again supported by a
Scholarship from German Academic Exchange Service-Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst-
DAAD) (see Scholarships pp. 21) (Research Protocol 4)
 In addition, a highly specialized training in advanced molecular biology techniques was undertaken
during another scientific visit to the MHH through the LLP/ERASMUS program of Academic
Exchanges (time period: 20-24/2/2012)
